Johnny Weir, Spirit Day, T. Rains and Support of the Trevor Project

Johnny Weir announced on Spirit Day that he and designer T.Rains have teamed up to raise money and awareness for The Trevor Project.  The Trevor Project is an organization 'determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources, including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy / educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.'

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.  The Trevor Lifeline (866) 4-U-TREVOR/(866) 488-7386 is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  All calls are toll-free and confidential!

Proceeds from the 'Army of One' t-shirt sales will go to The Trevor Project foundation.  Please consider ordering one today!

Your support is greatly appreciated!

Binky and the Misfit Mimes' Blog: Spirit Day

This is a wonderful Blog written by my friend Binky about 'Spirit Day' on October 20, 2010, and about Johnny's tee shirt project.

She does a better job than I would have of telling us why this day is so important, and relating it to Johnny Weir and so many others who have been bullied over the years.

The two of us do have some mutual readership (though hers is larger than mine), but if you come to my Blog and have not read hers, particularly this particular edition of it, please do go read it!

Thank You!
