The Heart Truth® created and introduced The Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wake-up call to American women. The Red Dress reminds women of the need to protect their heart health and inspires them to take action. Each February since its launch, The Red Dress symbol has come to life on the runway with the support of the fashion industry and celebrity models at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show.
On Wednesday, February 9, 2011, The Heart Truth will open Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with its annual Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. As the runway lights shine on the generous participation of celebrities and designers, we will showcase the power of the Red Dress in encouraging women to protect their heart health. The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection 2011 is presented by Diet Coke with national sponsor Swarovski and partners Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and AOL Inc.
The Red Dress Collection 2010 was presented by Diet Coke. National sponsors included Swarovski, Tylenol and St. Joseph Aspirin; and make-up partner Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
Red Dress Collection Auction
For the third year in a row, a selection of dresses worn by celebrities in Red Dress Collection fashion shows will be available for the public to bid on at www.clothesoffourback.org through a partnership with the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and will be used to further efforts related to women's heart health awareness and research.
